Stray Kids Shatter Records with 8th Consecutive 'Billboard 200' No. 1 Win, Solidifying Global Stardom
Global music sensation Stray Kids has once again proven their dominance by achieving an unprecedented eighth consecutive number one position on the 'Billboard 200' chart with their latest release.
According to an official announcement by Billboard on December 2nd (local time), Stray Kids' new album, featuring double title tracks 'DO IT' and 'My Zone', has landed on the prestigious 'Billboard 200' chart, along with 10 other categories including the 'Hot 100'. This marks a monumental achievement for the group.
The album debuted at the top of the 'Billboard 200' with an impressive first-week sales of approximately 295,000 copies in the U.S. This latest triumph makes Stray Kids the first artist in the 70-year history of the chart to have seven consecutive albums debut at number one, and with this new release, they've extended that record even further, cementing their status as 'world-first' trailblazers.
With a total of eight number one albums on the 'Billboard 200', Stray Kids now ranks third among all groups worldwide for the most number one albums, tying with U2 and surpassing legendary acts like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. They also re-broke their own record for the 'most number one albums in the 2000s' on the chart, further showcasing their unparalleled global power.
One of the double title tracks, 'Do It', entered the 'Hot 100' chart at number 68, marking the group's fifth appearance on the chart and highlighting their strong appeal in the U.S. music market. Additionally, their new album secured top positions in 11 categories overall, including 'Artist 100', 'Top Album Sales', 'Top Current Album Sales', 'World Albums', and 'World Digital Song Sales'.
Their previous album, 'KARMA', continues its strong performance, holding the 35th spot on the 'Billboard 200' for its 14th consecutive week. This dual chart presence is a remarkable feat, demonstrating Stray Kids' sustained popularity. Furthermore, the physical and digital sales of 'KARMA' and 'DO IT' reached approximately 296,000 and 286,000 copies, respectively, ranking them third and fourth for pure album sales in the U.S. in 2025, the highest for any K-pop artist this year.
Stray Kids expressed their gratitude through their agency JYP Entertainment, stating, "We can hardly believe it. 2025 is going to be a year we'll remember for a long time. All the moments with STAY (fandom name) from around the world feel like a dream. We are truly grateful to STAY, who have always been our compass. We will continue to walk our own path, Stray Kids."
