K-pop group 2PM's member Jang Wooyoung has successfully concluded his solo concert in Tokyo, marking his 10th anniversary of solo debut in Japan.
From November 29th to 30th, Jang Wooyoung held his solo concert, '2025 Jang Wooyoung Concert < half half > in Japan,' at the Kanadevia Hall in Tokyo. This event served as the Tokyo leg of his '2025 Jang Wooyoung Concert < half half >,' which previously took place in Seoul, and was specially organized to commemorate a decade since his solo debut in Japan. The concert garnered significant attention from local fans, with both performances selling out completely, including additional seats.
The concert commenced with a serene guitar melody that filled the darkened venue, building anticipation. Jang Wooyoung then appeared amidst a cozy atmosphere, backed by a band's sound, igniting cheers from the audience. He opened with 'Carpet,' followed by a diverse setlist including 'Going Going,' 'Off the record,' 'Happy Birthday,' and '늪' (Swamp), showcasing the multifaceted charm of 'Artist Jang Wooyoung' with rich emotions.
A highlight of the Tokyo show was the first live performance of 'Reason,' the title track from his upcoming best-of album '3650.zip,' scheduled for release on December 24th. Introducing the song, Jang Wooyoung shared, "I've long pondered the reasons why I sing, dance, and make music. Ultimately, I realized all the reasons lead back to you, my fans, and I poured those thoughts into the lyrics." The audience responded with immense applause, appreciating his heartfelt message.
Jang Wooyoung delivered a high-quality stage and energetic performance, befitting his reputation. Towards the end of the concert, he further heightened anticipation for the new release, stating, "I prepared this best-of album with the desire to gift my fans as I celebrate my 10th solo anniversary in Japan. Let's run together towards our 20th anniversary."
Following a prolific year that included the digital single 'Simple dance' in June and the mini-album 'I'm into' with its title track 'Think Too Much (Feat. 다민이 (DAMINI))' in September, Jang Wooyoung continues his active career into the end of 2025. His first Japanese best-of album, '3650.zip,' featuring 18 tracks including his representative hits and anticipated new songs, will be released on December 24th. He is also scheduled for solo performances at the Hyogo Kobe Culture Hall on December 27th and 28th.
Korean netizens reacted enthusiastically, commenting, "Wow, 10 years in Japan already, time flies!" and "I have to buy the best-of album!" Many also expressed a desire to see him perform solo in Korea again soon, highlighting the high quality of his solo concerts.
