Former PURPLE KISS Member Park Ji-eun Embarks on Acting Career, Joins New Agency for 2026 Drama 'The Weather Today is Sexy'

Park Ji-eun, formerly of the girl group PURPLE KISS, has announced her new beginnings as an actress.

DABO E&M announced on the 2nd that they have signed an exclusive contract with Park Ji-eun, stating, "Park Ji-eun is starting a new challenge as an actress."

A representative from DABO E&M commented, "We signed an exclusive contract because we highly value Park Ji-eun's potential and sincerity as an actress, building on her stage experience and public recognition gained during her idol days." They added, "We will provide full support so she can showcase her abilities across various genres."

Park Ji-eun debuted as the main vocalist of PURPLE KISS in 2020, winning fans' hearts with her stable low tones, clear high notes, and delicate emotional expression on stage. However, she left the team in 2022 due to health reasons. She then dedicated herself to studying acting at Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts, preparing for a full-fledged acting career.

Her efforts have already borne fruit, as she played the role of young Su-hyeon in the play 'Bogeo' (Mistery Thriller Festival) earlier this year and made a fresh impression as Eun-ju, the stylist for Lee Chae-yeon, in the OTT TVING drama 'Fresh Romance'.

Park Ji-eun expressed her determination, saying, "I want to show a more grown-up side as an actress with my new agency. I will blend the emotions and experiences felt on stage into my acting to become a sincere actress." She asked for "lots of anticipation and support for my future activities."

Meanwhile, Park Ji-eun is preparing for filming after being cast as Ji-eun in the upcoming OTT drama 'The Weather Today is Sexy,' scheduled for release in the first half of 2026. DABO E&M, which also manages actors Hwang Ji-sun, Kang Da-min, and Choi Da-yeon, is expected to further strengthen its actor lineup with Park Ji-eun's addition.
