Rookie Actor Choi Geon Joins Forces with Girls' Generation's Sooyoung in 'Idol Idol'

Rookie actor Choi Geon is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming Genie TV original drama, 'Idol Idol,' scheduled for release on the 22nd.

Choi Geon will portray Lee Young-bin, the charming maknae (youngest member) of the fictional boy band 'Gold Boys.' He will be sharing the screen with Choi Sooyoung, a member of the renowned K-pop group Girls' Generation, who plays the lead role.

'Idol Idol' is a mystery legal romance that unfolds as top lawyer Maeng Se-na (Choi Sooyoung) takes on the case of her ultimate bias, idol star Do Ra-ik (Kim Jae-young), who has been accused of murder. Within the drama, Choi Geon's character, Lee Young-bin, possesses a complex inner world hidden beneath a lovable exterior, and he plans to showcase his 'maknae-dol' charm amidst internal group conflicts.
