Solbi Dazzles as Debut Drama Writer with 'My Ex Is a Top Star'

Multi-talented artist Solbi, known for her singing and painting, has officially ventured into scriptwriting.

On the 2nd, Solbi unveiled her penned drama, 'My Ex Is a Top Star,' released on the global short-form platform Shortcha, marking her debut as a drama writer.

Developed over approximately three years, 'My Ex Is a Top Star' is a fantasy romance narrative. It follows a woman's journey of growth and conflict as she navigates between a dream world where desires manifest through magical scented candles and reality. The story delves into her relationships with a top-star ex-boyfriend, her lost dreams, and a confrontation with her true self.

This production was made possible through the '2025 AI Content (Flagship) Production Support Project,' organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency. It incorporates an AI assistant writer named 'Wonderstory' and combines artificial intelligence and virtual production technology developed by GRAEG, creating a unique synergy.

Kim Seung-soo, PD from MAPSI STUDIO, helmed the direction, expertly translating Solbi's fantastical script elements into compelling visuals. Solbi, who officially debuted as a painter in 2012, has since solidified her artistic identity through exhibitions and published works.

Korean netizens have reacted enthusiastically to Solbi's new venture, with comments like, 'Solbi is truly a versatile entertainer!', 'Cheering her on for success as a writer too!', and 'A fantasy romance, I'm already excited!'.
