IVE Takes on Japan's Kyocera Dome After Tokyo Dome Triumph
Global sensation IVE (An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, Leeseo), dubbed the 'MZ Wannabe Icons,' are set to make history by performing at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, following their monumental success at the Tokyo Dome.
According to their agency, Starship Entertainment, IVE will hold concerts for their second world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I AM,' at the Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 18th and 19th.
Previously, IVE concluded their first world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,' with 37 shows across 28 cities in 19 countries throughout Asia, the Americas, and Europe, meeting approximately 420,000 fans. Their encore performance at the Tokyo Dome, the culmination of their first world tour, sold out immediately and drew over 95,000 attendees across two days, garnering significant attention from major Japanese media outlets.
Following the conclusion of their first world tour, IVE kicked off their second world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I AM,' with a successful three-day run at the KSPO DOME (formerly Olympic Gymnastics Arena) from October 31st to November 2nd. The concerts showcased IVE's solid teamwork, expanded musical capabilities, and solidified their unique identity, featuring unreleased solo stages from each member and flawless group choreography with unwavering live vocals.
This remarkable growth and the achievement of performing at a second major dome venue are strongly supported by their brilliant performances in Japan. Since their official debut in Japan in 2022, IVE has captivated audiences with their 'IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN' fan concert tour, spanning 11 shows across four cities and attracting around 100,000 fans, demonstrating their immense ticket-selling power.
Their third Japanese album, 'Be Alright,' released in July, topped Billboard Japan's 'Top Album Sales' chart, confirming the 'IVE Syndrome' extending beyond Korea to global markets.
Furthermore, IVE delivered powerful live performances at the 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025,' one of Japan's four major rock festivals, receiving enthusiastic responses. They also appeared on popular programs like NHK's 'Venue 101' and TBS's 'Let's Ask Johnny's!' special, captivating local fans with their diverse charms.
Recently, IVE's 2022 hit song 'After LIKE' surpassed 200 million streams on Billboard Japan's chart, further proving their immense popularity in the country. This marks their third song to achieve over 200 million streams, following 'ELEVEN' and 'LOVE DIVE,' highlighting their global music power. Expectations are high for IVE's continued global journey as they prepare to take the stage solo at the Kyocera Dome Osaka.
Meanwhile, IVE continues their active year-end schedule, solidifying their status as a global trendsetter.
Korean netizens are expressing immense pride, commenting, 'As expected of IVE!', 'It's amazing they've reached dome tours too,' and 'IVE's true power shines even in Japan!' Many are also sending supportive messages like, 'I can't wait to see where they go next,' and 'Truly a world-class girl group.'
