Former T-ara member and actress Ham Eun-jung is set to star in MBC's new daily drama 'The First Man,' where she will portray a fierce revenge plot, just two weeks after her wedding to director Kim Byung-woo.

The drama's production team released the main poster on the 3rd, highlighting the intertwined destinies of its five main characters. 'The First Man' chronicles the deadly confrontation between a woman who assumes another's life for revenge and another who steals a life out of desire. Penned by Seo Hyun-joo, renowned for her 'Number Series' dramas like 'Second Husband' and 'Third Marriage,' the series promises an addictive plot with explosive dopamine rushes.

The main poster features Ham Eun-jung in a striking red leather jacket, her unwavering gaze commanding attention. This intense look signifies her character Oh Jang-mi's resolve to confront Chae Hwa-young (Oh Hyun-kyung), who upended the lives of Jang-mi and her twin sister Ma Seo-rin. The poster hints at Ham Eun-jung's dual role, showcasing both the resilient Oh Jang-mi and the haughty chaebol heiress Ma Seo-rin.

Oh Hyun-kyung emanates an irresistible aura as Chae Hwa-young, the ultimate villain who stops at nothing to achieve her desires. Positioned at the apex of the poster's triangular composition, she exudes a suffocating charisma, her elegant white dress contrasting sharply with the volcanic desire and venomous gaze within, symbolizing immense evil. Curiosity about Oh Hyun-kyung's portrayal of a groundbreaking villain is soaring.

Adding to the intrigue, the poster delicately captures the complex relationships among the four characters entangled with Ham Eun-jung's. Yoon Seon-woo as Kang Baek-ho and Park Gun-il as Kang Jun-ho, two brothers who stand by Oh Jang-mi's side, present contrasting vibes. Kang Baek-ho, the suave lawyer radiating warmth, showcases his devoted love for Jang-mi. In contrast, Kang Jun-ho, a perfectionist Michelin-starred chef, embodies a cool, chic demeanor with his sharp posture.

Kim Min-seol as Jin Hong-joo, positioned opposite Oh Jang-mi, adds depth with her meaningful expression. Her gaze conveys a complex mix of obsessive love for Kang Baek-ho and intense jealousy and hatred towards Oh Jang-mi, making her character strikingly three-dimensional.

The tagline, 'Sin must be paid for,' clearly conveys the drama's core message, leaving a powerful impression. The swapped destinies caused by Chae Hwa-young's ruthless ambition, Oh Jang-mi's desperate revenge, and the unpredictable romance involving the brothers and Jin Hong-joo are set to maximize tension and anticipation. 'The First Man' is scheduled to premiere on the 15th, following 'The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun.'

Meanwhile, Ham Eun-jung garnered attention for her marriage to director Kim Byung-woo on the 30th of last month.

Netizens are expressing excitement for Ham Eun-jung's return to acting after her marriage, commenting, 'She looks even more beautiful after getting married!', 'Looking forward to Ham Eun-jung's acting transformation,' and 'A revenge drama sounds incredibly fun!'
