Actor Jung Kyung-ho has openly acknowledged his acting shortcomings during his rookie days and shared behind-the-scenes stories of his fierce efforts to grow.

On the broadcast of tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz') on the 3rd, Jung Kyung-ho appeared and candidly recounted his experiences from his debut.

Recalling his role in the 2004 drama 'I'm Sorry, I Love You,' Jung stated, "It was such a precious time." However, he revealed that he had almost no bust shots (close-up shots of the face) until the 8th episode.

When MC Yoo Jae-suk asked if he had questioned the director about this, Jung calmly replied, "I knew without needing to ask. I figured it was because I couldn't act well."

Instead of blaming the situation or feeling resentful, he confessed, "I would sit in my room, rewatch the previous broadcasts, and ponder and research, 'Why don't I have any close-up scenes?'" demonstrating his acceptance of his own limitations.

To overcome these limitations, Jung tackled the 현장 (hyunjang - set/field) with a rookie's boldness. He revealed his extraordinary passion for acting, saying, "I wanted to do so well that I didn't even bring the script to the set. I memorized all the lines and simulated the other actors' reactions in my head before going."

His efforts were even recognized by his father, renowned director Jung Eul-young. Jung shared, "Seeing me practice and attend meetings every day, my father said, 'You're a hard-working actor too,' which was touching," adding a heartwarming touch.

Netizens reacted positively to Jung's candid confession, with comments like "His honesty is charming," "His passion for acting was amazing from the start," and "It's clear he worked hard to become the great actor he is today," cheering on his growth.
