Lee Young-pyo Reveals Astonishing Figures for Inviting Football Legends on 'Baedalwassuda'

During a recent broadcast of the KBS 2TV entertainment show ‘Baedalwassuda’ (Delivery is Here), former football star Lee Young-pyo disclosed surprising details about the costs associated with inviting legendary football players.

On the show, veteran actress Kang Bu-ja appeared as a customer and engaged Lee Young-pyo with her keen interest in football, posing various questions.

Kang Bu-ja inquired about the seating arrangements for national team players during overseas matches. Lee Young-pyo recalled his early days when they flew economy class but explained that after coach Guus Hiddink's arrival, significant system improvements, including switching to business class, were implemented.

Kang Bu-ja then directly asked about the appearance fees for legendary players participating in exhibition matches. Although hesitant, Lee Young-pyo revealed that he heard the cost to invite these top-tier international players alone was approximately 10 billion KRW (around $7.5 million USD), astonishing the guests. He mentioned that around thirty world-class athletes were invited for the event.
