Actors Ha Jung-woo and Kim Dong-wook, appearing as 'food buddies' on 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan 3', are making their first foray into a 'foodie variety show' and are set to radiate an overwhelming presence.
The 8th episode of the authentic real-street food documentary 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan 3' (jointly produced by MBN, Channel S, and SK Broadband), airing on the 5th (Friday) at 9:10 PM, will feature a 'Seoul Night' special.
Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube will be joined by 'food buddies' Ha Jung-woo and Kim Dong-wook as they uncover the real secret eateries of Namdaemun Market merchants.
During the episode, Jun Hyun-moo asks the 'food buddies' about their preferences. Ha Jung-woo confesses to being a 'spice-phobe', stating, "I eat all Korean food well, except for spicy things." Kim Dong-wook chimes in, "I also can't eat spicy food well." Ha Jung-woo further reveals his 'food philosophy', saying, "Muguk (radish soup) is good~ It's comforting. I only eat oigori (cucumber peppers)." This elicits a playful jab from Jun Hyun-moo, who boasts about his spice tolerance, "Oigori aren't even peppers~", showcasing their contrasting chemistry.
Upon arriving at Namdaemun Market, Jun Hyun-moo leads them to a Pyeongyang naengmyeon (cold noodle) restaurant, describing it as a place "where market merchants close their shops to go eat." Kwak Tube expresses his anticipation, "Thanks to the two 'national actors' today, I think the (casting/invitation) will go smoothly."
As attention turns to whether the restaurant owner will allow filming after seeing them, the four settle into a restaurant filled with old-school charm. They order Pyeongyang naengmyeon, followed by spicy stir-fried pork, spicy chicken salad, and bindaetteok (mung bean pancake).
After tasting the food, Ha Jung-woo delivers a weighty "It's delicious." Kwak Tube exclaims, "An all-time-best diner!" Jun Hyun-moo, with nervous eyes, jokes, "I feel like I'm being judged," making everyone burst into laughter.
Amidst the serious eating, Jun Hyun-moo brings up their movie work: "I'm curious. Did you immediately say 'O.K.' to director Ha Jung-woo's casting offer, Dong-wook?" Kim Dong-wook replies, "I accepted immediately," but then adds a surprising remark, "But I was shocked after reading the script he sent."
Ha Jung-woo nods meaningfully and reveals behind-the-scenes casting stories, "Gong Hyo-jin also called me, asking 'Oppa, how are we going to film this?' and we talked for an hour."
This 'Seoul Night' food trip, filled with delicious food and candid conversations, can be seen on the 8th episode of MBN·Channel S' 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan 3', airing on Friday, the 5th, at 9:10 PM.
