Singer Lee Chan-won and his dedicated fanbase have joined forces, channeling their collective goodwill towards supporting the treatment of children battling pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare intractable diseases.
The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (Chairman Lee Sung-hee) announced that Lee Chan-won, with the fervent support from fans on the 'Sunhan Star' platform, donated 1 million KRW earned from the November 'King of Singers' competition towards the medical expenses of young patients.
Sunhan Star is a donation platform service that encourages the positive influence of celebrities. Participants engage by watching videos and listening to songs of artists in the 'King of Singers' competition within the app, completing missions, and contributing prize money based on rankings.
Through these efforts, Lee Chan-won has achieved a cumulative donation of 72.87 million KRW via Sunhan Star, showcasing his consistent commitment to charitable acts.
Hong Seung-yoon, Director of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, expressed gratitude, stating, 'The warm support from the singer and his fans is a great source of strength for the sick children. We sincerely support Lee Chan-won's future endeavors.'
