Actor Kwon Sang-woo, who previously captivated audiences during the winter season with the 'Hitman' series, is set to return to theaters in the new year with the film 'Heartman'.

Directed by Choi Won-seop, 'Heartman' is a comedy that follows the story of Seung-min (played by Kwon Sang-woo), who struggles to win back his first love, only to find himself entangled in a secret he can never reveal to her.

Kwon Sang-woo, known for his versatile acting across action, romance, and comedy genres, will portray Seung-min, a former rock band vocalist who now lives a quiet life running a musical instrument shop. This role promises a more emotionally nuanced comedic performance compared to his previous works.

The released stills showcase Seung-min's journey, from his passionate past as a stage performer to his current life and the rekindled sparks of romance, drawing significant attention.

Director Choi Won-seop expressed his confidence in casting Kwon Sang-woo, stating, "'Heartman' is a project that truly requires a strong comedic touch. When considering the tone of the film and the character of Seung-min, Kwon Sang-woo was the only actor who came to mind" to capture both the film's atmosphere and the character's essence.

'Heartman,' featuring Kwon Sang-woo's signature charming and humanly relatable character portrayal, is scheduled to premiere in theaters nationwide on January 14, 2025.
