'Love Motel' & 'The Night the Wolf Disappeared' to Premiere in KBS2's 'Love: Track' Anthology Series
KBS2's upcoming one-act play project, 'Love: Track,' is set to captivate audiences with its second wave of compelling dramas: 'Love Motel' and 'The Night the Wolf Disappeared.'
Premiering on the 17th at 9:50 PM, 'Love Motel' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Park Min-jung) follows the story of Yoon Ha-ri (played by Kim A-young) and Kang Dong-gu (played by Moon Dong-hyuk), a couple who have been dating for seven years. Stranded at a motel due to heavy rain, they unexpectedly encounter a murderer, turning their ordinary trip into a life-threatening ordeal.
Facing a rut in their long-term relationship, where routine has overshadowed romance, Ha-ri and Dong-gu must confront not only the killer but also the foundation of their seven-year bond. The production team teased, 'Witness how Ha-ri and Dong-gu, whose physical affection usually stops at a tap on the back of the head, will face the killer head-on.'
Simultaneously airing on the same night, 'The Night the Wolf Disappeared' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Lee Sun-hwa) centers on Yoo Dal-lae (played by Gong Min-jung), an animal communicator, and Seo Dae-gang (played by Lim Sung-jae), a zookeeper. The estranged couple, on the verge of divorce, must band together to find an escaped wolf, forcing them to confront the beginnings and ends of their love.
On the eve of signing their divorce papers, they receive news that 'Soon-jeong,' a wolf under their care, has escaped. Their desperate search to prevent the wolf from being euthanized leads them to revisit their past and re-examine their feelings for each other. The tension escalates dramatically when they come face-to-face with the hungry wolf.
The production team highlighted, 'The raw portrayal of the couple's love-hate relationship by the actors and the suspense generated by the extreme situation are key viewing points.'
Viewers can look forward to the 'Love Motel' pairing of Kim A-young and Moon Dong-hyuk, and the realistic couple chemistry of Gong Min-jung and Lim Sung-jae in 'The Night the Wolf Disappeared,' both airing on KBS2 on the 17th at 9:50 PM.
Korean netizens are expressing excitement, with comments like 'Finally, the anthology drama season is back!', 'Looking forward to the chemistry between actors Kim A-young and Moon Dong-hyuk,' and 'The pairing of Gong Min-jung and Lim Sung-jae is fresh. Curious about the wolf story too.'
