MONSTA X's Hyungwon Charms in 'Ddorora' with Diverse Appeal in Canadian Rockies
Hyungwon, a member of the 'trusted and must-see performance' group MONSTA X, showcased his multifaceted charms through his variety show appearances.
On the 11th, a new episode of SBS web variety show 'K-pop Aurora Hunters - Ddorora' (hereafter 'Ddorora'), featuring Hyungwon, was released on the YouTube channel 'SBSKPOP'.
In this episode, Hyungwon, along with Lee Chang-sub and Solar, headed to Lake Louise, one of the four major lakes in the Canadian Rockies, to meet a secret agent. Upon seeing the clear weather, Hyungwon responded positively to Lee Chang-sub's remark about him being a 'weather fairy', saying, "Your energy must be strong." When afternoon tea was mentioned, he led a cheerful atmosphere by listing words containing 'tea'.
Arriving at a hotel overlooking Lake Louise, Hyungwon was speechless at the breathtaking lake view. He exclaimed, "This is truly bucket-list worthy. It's incredibly beautiful," and later enjoyed a leisurely tea time, learning about tea ceremony culture.
Attempting to capture a 'life shot' against the stunning lake backdrop, Hyungwon surprised the crew by confidently stating, "If I say I'll do it, I do it," in response to their playful suggestion of jumping into the water. During the mission to find the secret agent by canoe, he showed his proactive and daring side by enthusiastically asking, "Shall we go to the end (of the lake)?", captivating fans and viewers alike.
Furthermore, he demonstrated his versatile talents by successfully making contact with the secret agent using his fluent foreign language skills. The trio then proceeded to Sulphur Mountain, and while riding the Banff Gondola to the summit, Hyungwon was deeply moved by a vivid rainbow, remarking, "I didn't know rainbows could be this colorful."
Upon reaching the summit, Hyungwon, Lee Chang-sub, and Solar were awestruck by the magnificent scenery. Hyungwon discovered an observatory used 120 years ago on the opposite side of the summit. To fulfill his expressed desire to "find romance" during a pre-meeting, he ventured alone to the observatory. There, he delivered a heartfelt message, wishing, "I hope my 'Ddorora' agents can definitely see the aurora," adding a warm touch.
Meanwhile, 'Ddorora' featuring Hyungwon is available every Thursday at 7 PM on the YouTube channel 'SBSKPOP'. MONSTA X is set to embark on the 'Jingle Ball Tour' starting today (12th, local time), performing in four US cities.
Netizens praised Hyungwon's performance, commenting, 'Is Hyungwon a variety show genius?', 'What can't MONSTA X's Hyungwon do?', 'The Canadian Rockies backdrop is like a painting,' and 'It's great to see his versatile side.'
