Veteran Actor Yoon Il-bong's Daughter Yoon Hye-jin Shares Heartfelt Message After Father's Passing

Yoon Hye-jin, daughter of the late veteran actor Yoon Il-bong, a luminary of Korean cinema, has shared her somber feelings following her father's funeral.

In a post on her social media on the 12th, Yoon Hye-jin announced, "We have successfully completed my father's funeral and returned."

She continued, "I have read every single message of condolence, comment, and DM. Though I couldn't reply to each one individually, they gave me great strength. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

She added, "I will return to my daily life next week and greet you all again."

The late Yoon Il-bong, who was also the father-in-law of actor Uhm Tae-woong, passed away on the 8th at the age of 91.

Debuting in the 1947 film 'The Story of the Railway,' the late Yoon Il-bong was a celebrated actor who graced the golden age of Korean cinema with his presence, appearing in approximately 125 works, including 'Obaltan,' 'Barefooted Youth,' and 'The Stars' Hometown.'

His contributions were recognized in 2015 when he received the Korean Film Contribution Award at the 52nd Grand Bell Awards.
