Kian84 Feels Like the 'Outsider Senior' Among 600 Runners; Kweon Hwa-woon Becomes the 'Insider'

Webtoon artist and broadcaster Kian84 found himself face-to-face with an overwhelming large running crew in South Africa, numbering over 600 members, and was visibly flustered by their sheer scale and youthful energy.

In a preview clip for MBC's 'Extreme 84' uploaded on the 12th, Kian84 and Kweon Hwa-woon met the massive running crew for the first time. As young and healthy MZ runners gathered against the backdrop of the sea at sunset, Kian84 couldn't hide his surprise, exclaiming, 'Everyone looks like they can run a sub-3 marathon,' and 'Why is everyone so hip?'

Faced with the runners' lean physiques, free-spirited fashion, and vibrant energy, Kian84 appeared intimidated. He commented, 'Perhaps because it's a running group, everyone is young, healthy, and beautiful. The sea and youth – what a perfect harmony,' before trying to brush it off, 'We're not behind in hipness either,' and 'I'm not worried at all,' which only made his voice trail off humorously.

Kian84 attempted to communicate with the runners using a translator, but errors quickly ended the conversation, prompting him to say, 'Let's run quickly' to escape the awkward situation. In contrast, Kweon Hwa-woon seamlessly blended into the local atmosphere, striking up conversations as if he were in his own home.

Highlighting the contrast between the relaxed crew leader and the busy crew member, Kian84 mused, 'Hwa-woon is going around talking to everyone like an insider. But I know. I know Hwa-woon can't really mix with them. An outsider senior returning to school. That's our place.' This added to the comedic effect.
