Epik High's Tukutz Reveals Humorous Tale of Receiving Hate Mail from Overseas Fan After Naming BTS's V as Rival

Tukutz, a member of the hip-hop group Epik High, shared a humorous anecdote about the backlash he received from an international fan after playfully naming BTS's V as his rival.

During his appearance on the SBS show 'What Do You Play?' broadcast on the 13th, Tukutz was participating in an interview process for 'Insamo' (The Association of Unpopular People) who aspire to become popular stars. To everyone's surprise, he declared, "My rival is BTS's V."

Explaining his earlier mention of V on the show 'Radio Star,' Tukutz stated, "I set V as my rival because I thought a rival should be someone bigger than me, someone I want to get closer to." He continued, "It was obviously a joke, but a fan from overseas sent me a direct message (DM) about it."

Tukutz hesitantly revealed the content of the DM, relaying, "F*** YOU," along with the message, "V is much more handsome than you are."

When asked about his reaction, Tukutz admitted, "They cursed me out eloquently. While it was true, I felt bad."

Furthermore, when questioned if he remembered all the BTS members' names, Tukutz confidently listed Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jungkook, and V, before pausing in confusion, wondering who he missed. After a final attempt, he successfully named all members including Jin and ended with "Thank you, ARMY" in an effort to appease the fans. However, he concluded the interview with a sigh, saying, "I'm ruined. Let's just have a drink. I think I'll be thinking about BTS for the next two weeks."

Separately, Tukutz also defended his role within Epik High during the broadcast, stating, "I haven't been slacking off in the group. I believe I have a clear role within the team and can confidently say I've fulfilled one-third of the work," which elicited laughter.
