Actress Ye Won has made a successful transformation in her first historical drama, 'My Dearest' (previously referred to as 'The Love That Comes From The Fall'), after 14 years since her debut, leaving a strong impression with her powerful presence.

In the 11th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'My Dearest,' which aired on the 12th, Ye Won portrayed the palace maid Mi-geum, who ultimately found a happy ending with Jeong-in, the Chief Secretary Do Seung-ji (played by Ji Il-joo), whom she risked her life to save. Her compelling portrayal of the character garnered significant support from viewers.

During the broadcast, Mi-geum, despite causing crises for Park Dal-i (played by Kim Se-jeong) even through false confessions, moved Dal-i's heart with her unwavering devotion to Do Seung-ji. Ultimately, thanks to Dal-i's consideration, Mi-geum was able to reunite with Do Seung-ji and protect their love. The scene where she tearfully confirmed their mutual feelings upon their reunion left a lasting impression.

Taking on the role of Mi-geum, the niece of the powerful Head Court Lady (played by Choi Hee-jin), Ye Won displayed an unusual presence from her very first appearance. Despite playing a 'villain' who put Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae-oh) and Dal-i in peril, Ye Won delicately and realistically expressed her tender feelings for Jeong-in, earning empathy from the audience. Her bold performance, including disheveled hair from torture, a battered face, and worn-out clothing, proved her complete immersion in the character.

Ye Won solidified the character of Mi-geum, who possessed complex emotions and a tragic narrative, with her stable and profound acting skills, completely transcending the limitations of her first historical role. Her successful creation of a villain who was not detestable but rather garnered viewer support further fuels anticipation for her future acting endeavors.

Netizens are raving, commenting, 'Ye Won's acting is insane!' and 'I can't believe I got so invested in the character Mi-geum,' with many adding, 'She suits historical dramas so well, even though it's her first time.'
