K-pop icon G-DRAGON (GD) has directly addressed recent controversies surrounding his live performances.

During his 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch]' concert held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 12th, G-DRAGON spoke to the audience about the ongoing discussions.

He began by asking, "Are there any controversial points today? I apologize. If there are, please bear with me. I'm doing this because I want to, and I'm just doing my best. If you don't like it, then don't."

He added with a touch of surprise, "If controversy arises now, 19 years later, I'm taken aback." The crowd responded with cheers of "Perfect!"

Upon hearing this, G-DRAGON humbly replied, "Oh, I'm not perfect. There are many stages I feel regretful about, and today is not about perfection, but simply about trying my best day by day. It varies depending on my condition, but today was adequate. You can press 'like'."

G-DRAGON has faced repeated criticism regarding his live vocals. Last year's SBS Gayo Daejeon marked his return to terrestrial year-end stages after 8 years, but issues with timing and vocal techniques made his lyrics difficult to understand. In March, a concert in Goyang saw a 74-minute delay, followed by him skipping parts of songs, disappointing fans. More recently, at the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' in Hong Kong, his performances of his new song 'DRAMA' and past hits like 'Heartbreaker' and 'Untitled' were criticized for his reliance on backing tracks (AR) with minimal live singing.

He had previously expressed his own dissatisfaction by using 'boom down' and 'boom ta' emoticons on social media videos of his performances. By directly addressing the issue on stage, he sought to connect with his fans.

G-DRAGON is set to conclude his 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch]' with an encore concert at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 14th.

Fans have reacted positively to his honesty, with comments like: "This is why we love GD! It's great he's showing his genuine side on stage," "Everyone has off days, we support you always," and "You worked so hard on this tour!"
