Song Baek-kyung Halts Public Criticism of YG Entertainment and Yang Hyun-suk
Song Baek-kyung, formerly of the group 1TYM, has announced he will cease his public criticism directed at his former agency YG Entertainment and its chief producer Yang Hyun-suk.
On the 14th, Song posted on his social media, stating, "I will now stop the arrows of criticism I was wildly shooting towards them."
Previously, Song had openly criticized YG Entertainment and Yang Hyun-suk, declaring, "You might dismiss it with a vague non-response, but the current me is not the Song Baek-kyung you used to treat poorly and look down on."
He also referenced the lawsuit filed by 2NE1 member Park Bom regarding unsettled payments, stating, "If you're going to mock, do it politely. You offered me a contract worth 5 million won for 'Mugadung' after I had completed five albums with 1TYM."
As these remarks garnered significant attention, Song abruptly changed his stance, apologizing for any discomfort caused and stating, "I will not mention the same issue again. I am a person with no affiliation with YG. I wish for the continued infinite development of YG Entertainment."
Furthermore, he clarified, "There are no conspiracy theories. I have not been pressured by the other party to stop. I am not someone who can be pressured. I am certainly not someone who fears such things. I simply stopped on my own. There is no need for you to engage in speculative, bizarre assumptions or exhausting fantasies."
Netizens reacted to the news with comments like, "I understand Song Baek-kyung's feelings," "I thought he would go all the way with YG, but this is unexpected," and "I hope to see him more often on broadcasts from now on."
