Nam Gyu-ri Unveils 'What's In My Bag,' Revealing Sentimental Items and Acting Philosophy
Singer and actress Nam Gyu-ri has offered fans an intimate look into her life through a 'What's In My Bag' segment on her YouTube channel, 'Gyu-ring.'
In the video uploaded on the 14th, Nam Gyu-ri introduced her beloved eco-bag, a gift from a staff member during her invitation to the Cannes International Series Festival in April for the omnibus horror-thriller 'Nodawayagi.' She expressed deep affection for the bag, stating, "I always carry it with the mindset that I will come to win an award next time."
A ribbon tied to the bag also holds a special memory. It was gifted by a local acquaintance during the festival, and Nam Gyu-ri explained, "Because it was the first film festival I attended in my life, I always tie it to remember that feeling."
Among the contents, a red lipstick purchased to match her character in the 'Happy Home' segment of 'Nodawayagi' was highlighted. "I can't throw it away because it was too expensive, and I can't wear it every day because it's too bold, but it's meaningful because I used it well in the work, so I carry it," she shared.
Furthermore, Nam Gyu-ri revealed her unique approach to scripts, distinguishing between those used for study and those brought to set. She elaborated, "In the past, I would bring scripts with notes, but then I found myself unable to deviate from my practice. The 현장 (set) is always unpredictable, and you might encounter unexpected acting from your scene partner." She emphasized that while she prepares thoroughly, she brings a clean script to set to allow for flexibility and adaptation, noting, "It might look insincere on the outside, but it's actually not."
Nam Gyu-ri, who has showcased her diverse charms through new music, YouTube content, and various broadcast activities this year, is set to meet viewers in the first half of 2026 with the Kakao Page drama 'Human Market.'
Netizens reacted positively, with comments like, "Every item in her bag feels so meaningful," "I can see her humility and hard work," and "Looking forward to her next project."
