NCT's Taeyong Completes Military Service, Becomes First Member to Discharge

Taeyong, the leader of K-pop group NCT, has officially completed his mandatory military service and returned to his fans.

He was honorably discharged on December 14th, concluding his 1 year and 8 months of service as a member of the Navy military band. Taeyong's discharge marks a significant milestone as he is the first NCT member to fulfill his military duty, earning him the title of 'first completed soldier idol.'

NCT's official social media accounts celebrated his return with a post captioned "I'm back," featuring photos and a video. The images show a dapper Taeyong in his military uniform, saluting the camera. A touching video also captured the moment of his discharge ceremony. Despite the rainy weather, Taeyong knelt to perform a deep bow before his parents, then saluted them while they held an umbrella, signaling the end of his service. He shared an emotional embrace with his parents, celebrating his return.

Taeyong himself posted on his personal social media, marking his service period "2024.04.15-2025.12.14" and celebrating his discharge. Fans worldwide are sending congratulatory messages to Taeyong, who returns looking healthy and more mature.

He enlisted in the Navy in April 2024, drawing attention as the first NCT member to begin his military service. During his duty, he appeared at various military events, including the 'National Defense Concert,' keeping fans updated on his activities.
