Former AOA Member Kwon Min-ah Announces Comeback After 7 Years with New Carol Single
Former AOA member Kwon Min-ah is set to make her musical comeback after a seven-year hiatus. Her agency, Modenberry Korea, announced on the 15th that Kwon Min-ah will release a carol song in January of next year, featuring trainee Ha Min-gi.
The new track, described as a carol song capturing the serenity and warmth of winter nights, marks Kwon Min-ah's first new music release since leaving AOA. The song's production is helmed by Kim Min-sol, who appeared on Mnet's 'I-LAND 2', further enhancing its quality.
Ha Min-gi, who will debut alongside Kwon Min-ah, has garnered attention as the nephew of a prominent Korean tteokbokki franchise CEO. He is scheduled to debut with the boy group Air100 in the first half of next year.
Meanwhile, Kwon Min-ah recently shared portions of malicious direct messages (DMs) she received regarding her past activities with AOA on her personal social media. She asserted, "Thoughts and speech are free. Only those who were there know the truth." She added, "I don't particularly like the word 'pitiable,' but seeing you write such things makes me feel sympathetic, and I want to support you."
Netizens expressed anticipation for Kwon Min-ah's return, commenting "A comeback after 7 years, I'm looking forward to it" and "I will support you." Many also sent messages of encouragement, hoping "she won't be hurt by the malicious commenters."
