
INFINITE's Nam Woo-hyun Wows Audience in Musical 'Some Like It Hot' Debut
Nam Woo-hyun, a member of the beloved K-pop group INFINITE, has successfully completed the opening performance of the musical 'Sugar'.
On November 14th, at the grand theater of the Hanford Art Center in Seoul, Nam Woo-hyun met with the audience in his role as Joe (Josephine) in the musical 'Sugar'. The production is based on the classic comedy film 'Some Like It Hot', set in the Prohibition era of 1929. It humorously depicts the chaotic adventures of two jazz musicians who, after witnessing a mob murder, disguise themselves as women and join an all-female band to save their lives.
Nam Woo-hyun took on the role of Joe (Josephine), a romantic saxophone player who disguises himself as a woman to survive. He showcased his acting prowess, honed through numerous previous works, and his powerful vocals, characteristic of INFINITE's main vocalist, captivating the stage.
Notably, Nam Woo-hyun heightened the audience's immersion with his profound portrayal of Joe's character, possessing sharp wit and a charming, unexpected side. His bold transformation with heavy makeup, a daring cross-dressing act, and alluring gestures drew thunderous applause from the audience.
