Actor Jung Woo-sung has officially returned to the public eye after approximately a year following a paternity scandal, making his first appearance at a press event for the new Disney+ series 'Made in Korea'.

Attending the production presentation held on the morning of the 15th at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Jung Woo-sung shared his feelings about his comeback and his deep affection for his character.

'Made in Korea' is set in 1970s South Korea and tells the story of Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), who aims to make the nation his profit model, and Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), a prosecutor who relentlessly pursues him. Jung Woo-sung portrays Jang Geon-young, a stubborn prosecutor with the tenacity to see his missions through to the end.

"When I first read the script, I thought the imagination was very courageous and provocative," he said. "The process of creating the story by inserting fictional characters into real events gave me great inspiration as an actor in building the character."

Meanwhile, 'Made in Korea' is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 24th.

This marks Jung Woo-sung's first official appearance in about a year since his private life became a topic of public discussion. Netizens expressed their support, with comments like, "It's been a while! Looking forward to 'Made in Korea'" and "Actor Jung Woo-sung, please show us a great performance in this work."
