Ahn Bo-hyun to Charm Audiences in tvN's 2026 Rom-Com 'Spring Fever'

Hallyu star Ahn Bo-hyun is set to captivate viewers once again, this time in tvN's upcoming romantic comedy, 'Spring Fever,' slated for early 2026.

The drama, scheduled to premiere on January 5, 2026, is set against the backdrop of a picturesque seaside village. 'Spring Fever' tells the story of Yoon Bom (played by Lee Joo-bin), a reserved teacher, and Sun Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), a man with a passionate heart. Ahn Bo-hyun will portray Sun Jae-gyu, a character who initially appears intimidating with his rugged demeanor but possesses a surprisingly loyal and tender heart, especially towards Yoon Bom.

Reflecting on his decision to join the project, Ahn Bo-hyun shared, "I was drawn to the charm of the character Sun Jae-gyu, especially his dialect, and the fast-paced storyline was incredibly fun." He also mentioned the beautiful scenery of the seaside setting and his confidence in performing the dialect, given his hometown is Busan.

Describing his character, Ahn Bo-hyun stated, "Jae-gyu is a 'straightforward guy' who doesn't back down when pushed and pulls you in when you pull him." He added, "While his outward appearance might seem intimidating, his inner self is warmer than anyone's, and he can't stand injustice. I find his honest and endearing qualities very attractive."

To embody Jae-gyu's imposing physique, Ahn Bo-hyun committed to consistent exercise, even bringing workout equipment to set during filming breaks. He highlighted 'Energy (Jae-gyu),' 'Pure Love (Bom),' and 'Niece's Dad (Hangyeol)' as key traits of his character. Ahn Bo-hyun concluded by expressing his hope that the drama, filmed amidst varying seasons in Pohang, will deliver an energetic start to the new year for audiences.
