Lee Min-jung Celebrates 500K YouTube Subscribers; Addresses Husband Lee Byung-hun's 'Blurred Face' Pledge
Actress Lee Min-jung has surpassed 500,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, 'Lee Min-jung MJ,' and has shared an update regarding a previously made pledge involving her husband, actor Lee Byung-hun.
On the 15th, Lee Min-jung posted on her YouTube channel's community tab, reflecting on the milestone. "As the PDs said when we first started filming, 'Reaching 500,000 within the year would be a real success,' I'm so grateful that we've reached 500,000 subscribers about 8 months after starting."
She expressed her sincere gratitude, stating, "Even though there must have been many shortcomings, thank you so, so much for your interest."
Addressing the pledge to remove the 'blur effect' on Lee Byung-hun's face upon reaching 500,000 subscribers, Lee Min-jung explained, "Regarding the BH-nim (Lee Byung-hun) blur removal pledge, the actor's portrait rights are more important than my pledge. Respecting his own opinion, I think it would be best if he could comfortably choose when to unblur moments he wants to reveal."
She added, "I hope you have a wonderful Christmas this cold winter, and a comfortable New Year. The Lee Min-jung MJ channel will continue to bring you healing, fun, and informative content."
Lee Min-jung launched her YouTube channel in March of last year, sharing glimpses of her daily life. Her decision to initially blur her husband's face until the channel reached 500,000 subscribers had previously garnered significant attention. Lee Min-jung married Lee Byung-hun in 2013, and they have one son and one daughter.
Netizens congratulated Lee Min-jung on her channel's success, with comments like 'Congrats on 500K subscribers! Will we finally see Lee Byung-hun's face now?' and 'It's great you respect his portrait rights, but we still want to see his face!' They also expressed anticipation for future content.
