Actress Jin Seo-yeon Reveals Past Success as CEO, Earning 40 Million KRW Monthly Before Quitting for Acting

Actress Jin Seo-yeon has revealed her past success as a CEO of an online shopping mall, where she reportedly earned up to 40 million KRW per month, before deciding to pursue her passion for acting.

Appearing on the TV Chosun show 'Himanman's Meal' on the 14th, Jin Seo-yeon responded to host Heo Young-man's question about how she endured her early, less prominent years in the industry.

"I wanted to find enjoyment outside of acting, so I ran an online shopping mall during college," Jin Seo-yeon confessed. "Business was so good that I was making 40 million KRW a month at one point." Despite her remarkable business acumen, which ranked her mall within the top 3 nationwide, she admitted that acting brought her more fulfillment.

"Even buying a 500 KRW bread made me want to act, so I quit the shopping mall. My income dropped significantly when I returned to earning 500,000 KRW per episode, but being on set was so enjoyable and fun," she shared.

"When people ask why I act, I say it's because it's fun. Isn't there a sense of self-satisfaction?" she emphasized her dedication to acting. She also mentioned her close friendship with co-stars Kim Hee-sun and Han Hye-jin, particularly praising Han Hye-jin's stunning beauty in person.
