South Korean broadcaster Park Na-rae is currently facing a police investigation concerning multiple allegations. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency confirmed on the 15th that a total of six cases related to Park are under investigation across various police stations.

Two of these cases stem from accusations made by Park's former manager, including charges of special assault, defamation, and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation). These are being handled by the Gangnam Police Station.

Furthermore, the Gangnam Police Station is also investigating allegations that Park received medical procedures from an individual referred to as 'injection auntie' ('jusa imo') in unapproved settings, potentially violating medical laws.

In a retaliatory move, Park's side has filed a lawsuit against former managers, accusing them of extortion for demanding a significant sum of money, reportedly 10% of previous year's revenue, after their departure. This extortion case is being investigated by the Yongsan Police Station.

Police stated that the investigations have just begun and will be conducted strictly according to procedure. Park Na-rae had previously been embroiled in controversies surrounding alleged unfair labor practices by managers, illegal prescription practices, and illicit medical treatments.

The claims of receiving illegal medical services from 'injection auntie' A, who reportedly lacks a medical license in Korea, have intensified the scrutiny. Park's legal representatives have maintained that her medical treatments were legally sound, explaining they were simply requests for house calls from her regular doctor and nurse due to her busy schedule.

However, organizations like the Korean Medical Association have pointed out that A's alleged actions constitute clear illegal medical practice by an unlicensed individual, demanding a thorough investigation and punishment.

As a consequence of these controversies, Park Na-rae has stepped down from her regular appearances on popular MBC show 'I Live Alone' and tvN's 'Amazing Saturday'.

Korean netizens are expressing a mix of concern and judgment. Comments like "If Park Na-rae made mistakes, she absolutely should be investigated," and "It's sad that the controversy escalated to the point of her leaving shows," are common. Many are hoping for the truth to be revealed quickly, so any wronged parties can be cleared and mistakes acknowledged.
