BTS V's Birthday Ignites Global Celebration: Seoul Becomes a Purple Festival Ground
Global fan support celebrating BTS member V's birthday is unfolding worldwide, including in Seoul, once again proving his overwhelming global superstar status.
Baidu Vbar, V's largest fan club in China, is executing a massive project in the heart of Seoul to celebrate his birthday. Notably, at the Yeouido Hangang Park, a high-traffic area, they are presenting a large-scale sculptural event for the first time ever in idol birthday support history. This sculpture recreates V's iconic moment as he threw the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, embodying his global star persona.
Furthermore, three sides of the panoramic screen at the Yeouido ferry terminal, the only large outdoor display in Hangang Park, will broadcast birthday congratulatory videos for V, capturing the attention of citizens and tourists.
Key landmarks across Seoul are also illuminated with V's birthday celebrations. Large billboards on six representative buildings in areas like Gangnam, Hongdae, Shinchon, Myeongdong, and Seoul Station will simultaneously air birthday messages. Video support featuring fan messages will transform Seoul into a festive space.
In Seongsu-dong, a popular spot for international fans, a birthday-themed wrapping advertisement will be displayed for the first time, utilizing the Seongsu AK Valley space alongside V's large-scale advertisements, offering a unique fan experience. This showcases the unparalleled scale and influence of Baidu Vbar, V's largest Chinese fan club, known for its grand annual birthday events. Previously, they have organized monumental birthday support projects in iconic global locations like New York's Times Square, Dubai's Burj Khalifa, and the New York World Trade Center.
Fans reacted with amazement, commenting, "The scale of V's birthday support is incredible," "Not just Korea, but the whole world is celebrating V's birthday," and "Truly the mark of a global superstar."
