Beloved voice actor Ahn Ji-hwan, widely known as the "Mr. Animal Farm" uncle, is taking a temporary break from his broadcast activities due to health issues.
On the 16th, his agency, Cryos Entertainment, announced, "Ahn Ji-hwan is stepping down from his current programs due to health irregularities and will focus on recovering his well-being."
Ahn Ji-hwan will be temporarily halting his participation in all his ongoing projects, including the Gukbang TV radio show 'Exciting Radio' and the SBS program 'TV Animal Farm,' where he serves as the narrator.
Debuting as an MBC voice actor in 1993, Ahn Ji-hwan has lent his distinctive voice to numerous animations such as 'SpongeBob,' 'Slam Dunk,' and 'The Mythology of the Goddesses.' He also appeared in shows like MBC's 'Radio Star' and JTBC's 'Rooftop Room Problems,' and showcased his acting talent in films and dramas.
Notably, his 24-year tenure as the main narrator for SBS's 'TV Animal Farm' earned him the affectionate nickname "Mr. Animal Farm" among the public.
This marks the first time in his 32-year career as a national voice actor that he has had to suspend activities due to health reasons.
