JYP Entertainment Concludes 'EDM DAY' Highlighting Year of Charitable Efforts, Including Critically Ill Children's Treatment Support
JYP Entertainment (JYP) shared news of its charitable endeavors through its year-end social contribution event, 'EDM DAY,' showcasing a year of dedicated efforts towards a healthier society.
Since its first year-end charity concert for pediatric wards with its artists in 2002, JYP has been actively engaged in various social contribution activities. Systematizing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts since 2019 under the slogan 'EDM (Every Dream Matters!),' JYP actively promotes projects to support children's dreams.
On December 15th, JYP released the '2025 JYP EDM DAY' video on its official social media channels, detailing the activities and outcomes of its EDM social contribution projects for the year. The event, summarizing the year's social contributions, was hosted by JYP head Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park) and agency artists JUN. K and ITZY's Yuna, with beneficiaries of the EDM program in attendance.
**JYP Supports Treatment for 3,959 Critically Ill Children Domestically and Internationally (as of November 2025)**
Park Jin-young, JUN. K, and Yuna highlighted the core EDM initiative: financial support for the treatment of critically ill children. JYP leads efforts to save precious lives by providing treatment costs to children and families facing financial difficulties. In 2025, the focus was on supporting children with severe illnesses requiring costly treatments, aiding the recovery of 803 children both domestically and internationally. In collaboration with the international relief and development NGO World Vision, the program expanded beyond Asia to include Latin America, supporting children in nine countries: Mexico, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Cases like Arkana (5) from Indonesia with a ventricular septal defect, Lance (7) from the Philippines diagnosed with chronic glomerulonephritis, Shin Gyu-hyun (22) who underwent a lung transplant after diagnoses of neuroblastoma and leukemia, and Lee Ji-a (10) undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia, were shared to emphasize the significance of the treatment support program. Park Jin-young offered words of encouragement to these children as they recover and pursue their dreams.
An initiative involving JYP artists and employees creating picture books was also introduced to offer hope and encouragement for children to pursue their dreams. This year, employees, TWICE, and ITZY participated in creating the picture book 'Our Twinkling Parol.' This book, conveying the message 'We can achieve anything when different people come together,' was published in Tagalog for children in the Philippines and in Korean for domestic children.
An impact measurement segment delved into the outcomes of the EDM treatment support program, examining the changes brought to the children, their families, and society. From 2020 to 2025, JYP has provided approximately 7.92 billion KRW (cumulative as of November 2025) across 10 countries, supporting 366 domestic and 3,593 international children to dream again. This support has instilled hope for recovery, enhanced children's willingness to undergo treatment and their resilience, eased financial burdens, strengthened their career aspirations, and contributed to their emotional stability and desire to give back to society. Furthermore, collaborations with international NGOs and medical institutions have helped establish sustainable medical systems within local communities, creating a positive ripple effect.
**JYP Artists and Fans Unite for a Warmer World**
The 'EDM Giving Project,' launched this year, was also presented. This project channels fan donations collected through JYP EDM booths and Happy Bean coin banks at domestic concerts by JYP artists towards the treatment costs of critically ill children. A total of 45.214 million KRW was raised from fans attending concerts by DAY6, TWICE, Stray Kids, Xdinary Heroes, and NMIXX, and will be fully donated for medical treatment. This initiative highlights the value of sharing, as artists and fans collaborate to create positive influence.
Continuing from last year, the 'JYPBT CHAMPIONSHIP' was held, with all proceeds from team participation fees and sponsorships donated. JYPBT is an amateur charity basketball tournament aimed at supporting treatment costs for vulnerable children and fostering a healthy social culture, regardless of nationality, gender, or disability. Following the support for 8 domestic children in 2024, a total of 21 million KRW was raised through participation fees from all teams and donations from JYP and sponsors, and delivered to Samsung Seoul Hospital to alleviate treatment costs for children in 2025.
JYP's environmental initiative, 'Love Earth,' aimed at creating a clean environment for future generations, was also featured. Commemorating the International Coastal Cleanup Day annually, JYP conducted the 'Race for Ocean' campaign this year, a carbon-neutral practice race to protect the blue seas. For four weeks, fans participated in activities like quizzes and energy-saving practices to protect the ocean. JYP matched each participation with a 10,000 KRW donation, contributing a total of 50.51 million KRW to coastal protection activities, which included 40 coastal and shoreline cleanup events.
Finally, examples of sharing activities by JYP artists this year were shared. Park Jin-young, who has donated 1 billion KRW annually since 2022 (totaling 4 billion KRW) for the treatment of vulnerable children, was mentioned, along with other artists like Jang Woo-young, DAY6's Dowoon, TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY's Yeji and Chaeryeong, NMIXX, and KickFlip, who donated for children's treatment costs, recovery from wildfires in Gyeongsang Province in 2025, and the Hong Kong fire disaster, extending helping hands to those in need.
Concluding '2025 JYP EDM DAY,' JUN. K expressed pride as a JYP artist seeing the EDM project evolve from simple hospital visits years ago. Yuna shared that participating in 'EDM DAY' and meeting the children was a moving experience, finding solace in their responses and expressing a desire to support them further. Park Jin-young reiterated the EDM project's mission to send courage and strength to children facing difficulties in achieving their dreams, wishing for all dreams to come true, and looked forward to the next 'EDM DAY.'
Netizens reacted positively to JYP's consistent social contribution efforts, leaving comments like "A warm company," "Great positive influence," and "We will continue to support you." Many expressed their emotional response to the news about supporting the treatment of critically ill children.
