Veteran Actor Jung Seung-gil Joins JTBC's 'Love Me,' Set to Star Alongside Seo Hyun-jin

Actor Jung Seung-gil is continuing his busy schedule into the year-end by joining the cast of JTBC's new Friday-Saturday series, 'Love Me.'

His agency, A NIC ENT, announced on the 16th, "Actor Jung Seung-gil has confirmed his appearance in 'Love Me.'" The series, directed by Jo Young-min and penned by Park Eun-young and Park Hee-kwon, tells the story of an ordinary family members starting their own love lives and growing in the process.

Jung Seung-gil will portray Jo Seok-woo, the uncle by marriage to Seo Jun-kyung (played by Seo Hyun-jin) and the owner of a towel shop. Jo Seok-woo appears to be henpecked by his wife, but harbors deep affection and warmth for his family. He is expected to quietly support his brother, Seo Jin-ho (played by Yoo Jae-myung), and his nieces and nephews after experiencing a sudden loss, offering subtle humor to lighten the heavy atmosphere and providing simple yet sincere comfort, embodying a realistic adult figure.

Jung Seung-gil has built a strong reputation for his immersive performances across various genres, including dramas like 'Agency,' 'Be Melodramatic,' 'Mr. Sunshine,' and 'Stranger 2.' In the recently aired 'Seoul Buzz,' he left a strong impression with his charismatic portrayal of Choi Tae-gwan, a director willing to do anything for success.

With Jung Seung-gil's addition, 'Love Me' solidifies its robust cast. The series is set to premiere on Friday, the 19th, with a back-to-back broadcast of episodes 1 and 2 starting at 8:50 PM on JTBC.
