TWICE's Agency Warns Against Privacy Invasion, JYP Threatens Legal Action
JYP Entertainment, the agency behind global sensation TWICE, has issued a stern warning against acts that infringe upon the artists' privacy.
On the 15th, JYP released an official statement via TWICE's social media channels, addressing concerns regarding the well-being and protection of their artists. The warning specifically targets three key areas: artists' movement paths during scheduled travel, excessive approaching and filming, and repeated attempts at conversation or phone calls.
The agency highlighted that such behaviors can inflict significant psychological burden and stress on the members, causing considerable discomfort, particularly given their frequent travel and international schedules. JYP has earnestly requested fans to refrain from approaching or filming TWICE members excessively along their travel routes.
Furthermore, the agency urged fans to show consideration for TWICE members' families and acquaintances, to avoid excessive personal communication and demands, and to maintain a safe distance, refraining from obstructing their movements.
"Should such actions be repeated or deemed to cause significant distress to our artists, we will not hesitate to take necessary measures, including legal action, to protect them," JYP stated firmly. The agency concluded, "We will do our utmost to ensure our artists can continue their activities and rest in the most stable environment possible."
Fans are largely supportive of JYP's statement, commenting, "This is a necessary action" and "Let's protect the artists together." Many agree, saying, "Privacy must be respected" and "Fans should take the lead so they don't get more stressed."
