Lee Yi-kyung's agency, Sangyeong ENT, has issued a statement addressing rumors surrounding the actor's departure from the MBC variety show 'How Do You Play?' and denying any involvement of Yoo Jae-suk.
The agency stated on the 16th, "We were informed of Lee Yi-kyung's departure from 'How Do You Play?' during a meeting with the production team. At the time, the production team conveyed that the decision was made 'from above and would not be reversed.'"
"We expressed our regret over the production team's decision but want to clarify that we never questioned or inquired whether this decision was based on Yoo Jae-suk's opinion," the agency added. They also confirmed that the phone call between Lee Yi-kyung and Yoo Jae-suk on the day of the departure notice ended with words of encouragement, such as 'Let's meet and talk later.'
Furthermore, the agency emphasized that Lee Yi-kyung has never mentioned Yoo Jae-suk even once since then and requested an end to speculative reporting and the spread of unverified rumors.
