BLACKPINK's Rosé & Bruno Mars Hint at Another Collaboration After Hit Song 'APT.'
Global superstars BLACKPINK's Rosé and world-renowned artist Bruno Mars are raising expectations among music fans worldwide by hinting at another special collaboration following their hit song ‘APT.’
In a recent interview with Billboard, both artists discussed the behind-the-scenes story of their work on ‘APT.’ and directly suggested the possibility of future duet releases.
Released in October 2024, the title track ‘APT.’ from Rosé's first solo album ‘rosie’ achieved explosive reactions immediately after its release. The song topped both the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Billboard Global 200 charts, marking a significant achievement. This success also led to Rosé receiving three Grammy Award nominations, including 'Song of the Year.'
Rosé shared in the interview, “Bruno Mars was a source of great inspiration not only for ‘APT.’ but for the entire process of my album,” expressing her gratitude, “He was a reliable source of support during important moments.” Bruno Mars was indeed deeply involved in the ‘rosie’ album, co-writing and co-producing not only ‘APT.’ but also the album's opening track, ‘Number One Girl.’
The confirmation that their collaboration wouldn't end with ‘APT.’ became clearer with a statement from Bruno Mars himself. When asked if they had worked on any songs together after ‘APT.’, he responded with a short yet impactful, “Yes.” He further added, “There’s another really good song. I can’t reveal the title yet, but we’re considering when and how to release it,” effectively confirming the existence of another duet track.
Bruno Mars also revealed that he drew significant inspiration from Korean culture and the enthusiastic response of K-pop fans through ‘APT.’ Rosé, in turn, expressed her deep trust in their collaboration, stating, “It was a great source of strength for me, both creatively and emotionally.”
With the immense success of ‘APT.’ topping global charts and the announcement of yet another duet song, anticipation is building among fans with questions like, “When will their next meeting be?” The eyes of the global music community are once again turning towards Rosé and Bruno Mars, eager to see if their new collaborative work will be released as early as 2026.
Netizens are reacting enthusiastically, with comments like 'Rosé's song was so good, and she's collaborating with Bruno Mars again? Amazing!' Others are saying, 'If it's this combination, I'll trust and listen to it no matter what,' and 'I hope the new music comes out soon,' expressing their eagerness to hear the new track.
