Park Na-rae Controversy Leads to Cancellation of New Variety Show 'Nado Sinna'; Jang Do-yeon's Past Remarks Resurface
The upcoming variety show 'Nado Sinna' (I'm Also Excited), slated to feature comedians Park Na-rae, Jang Do-yeon, Shin Ki-roo, and Heo An-na, has been officially cancelled due to controversies surrounding Park Na-rae.
'Nado Sinna' was envisioned as a travel reality program where four close-knit comedian friends would embark on an unfiltered, unscripted, and unrestrained ('3무') journey. The show had garnered significant anticipation due to its production team, known for MBC's hit programs 'Radio Star' and 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?', leading to comparisons to a 'female version of Welcome, First Time in Korea?'.
However, following allegations of Park Na-rae's former manager's misconduct and accusations of illegal medical practices against her, Park Na-rae announced a hiatus. This led to the full cancellation of 'Nado Sinna', which was scheduled for its premiere in January 2026.
Reports suggest that the cancellation was also influenced by Park Na-rae's significant screen presence, as the show's title was derived from a letter in each of the four members' names. Her absence made it difficult to fulfill the program's original concept.
Heo An-na, one of the featured comedians, recently expressed her disappointment on social media following the show's cancellation.
Amidst this, a past appearance by Jang Do-yeon on Huh Kyung-hwan's YouTube channel has resurfaced. In the video, Jang Do-yeon promoted 'Nado Sinna' when asked about her travel plans with fellow comedians. Her remarks about having a sense of duty not to 'tarnish' the show alongside her colleagues are also drawing renewed attention.
Netizens expressed disappointment, with comments like 'I was looking forward to it, what a shame,' and 'It's unfortunate that others are affected by Park Na-rae's issues.' Some wondered if editing could have salvaged the show.
