Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie is making a powerful statement, gracing the cover of TIME France with her mastectomy scars visible, drawing attention to the critical issue of equal access to healthcare.

In an interview with TIME France on the 15th (local time), Jolie emphasized, “Access to check-ups and treatment should not depend on financial status or place of residence.”

She shared a message of solidarity, stating, “I share these scars with many women I love,” and added, “I am always moved when I see other women sharing their scars.”

Jolie, who underwent a preventative double mastectomy in 2013 and a oophorectomy in 2015 due to genetic factors, has previously spoken about how her surgery experience has encouraged other women to get screened for breast cancer.

Her upcoming film, 'The Features' directed by French filmmaker Alice Winocour, tackles the delicate subject of a woman's battle with cancer and is slated for release in France on February 18, 2026.

Netizens are praising Jolie's bravery and advocacy, commenting, 'Angelina Jolie is an inspiration,' 'Thank you for raising awareness,' and 'Her courage is remarkable.'
