Poppin Hyun-joon reportedly countered the allegations by stating that his elbow was severely fractured at the time, making physical assault impossible. He admitted to using curse words but maintained he never resorted to violence, citing his smaller physique.

These assault allegations surface shortly after Poppin Hyun-joon resigned from his professorship on January 13th due to controversies surrounding his 'inappropriate remarks' made during a university lecture. He issued a public apology to his students via social media.
