Choi Soo-young, a member of girl group Girls' Generation and a rising actress, shared a unique tip she learned from her seniors on how to get closer to film crew members.

In a YouTube video uploaded on the 'TEO' channel on the 16th, titled "The Difference Between 'Cute' When Men Say It vs. When Women Say It," Soo-young appeared as a guest alongside actor Kim Jae-young for the show 'Salon Drip.' During their conversation, Soo-young mentioned that she considers it a compliment when people find her 'unexpectedly' down-to-earth. Kim Jae-young agreed, sharing that he also receives similar comments.

Soo-young humorously admitted that she often appears unintentionally cold and distant in behind-the-scenes footage, despite feeling like she approached everyone warmly. "I thought I was saying 'Hello~' but apparently not," she explained, showcasing her own stern expression in a recreated scene.

She then revealed her observation of senior actors who maintained friendly relationships with the staff. Her conclusion? "You have to swear a little, in a friendly way," she stated, explaining that this breaks down barriers and fosters closeness. Soo-young recounted an instance where she approached a junior lighting technician, saying, "Hey, XX, it must be tough, right?" This seemingly informal approach immediately made her a "really comfortable older sister."

While host Jang Do-yeon remarked that such approaches might be necessary in life, Soo-young added with a wry smile, "But those same people often come to the wrap party and say, 'Unnie, you're my role model,' and give me letters."

Meanwhile, Soo-young and Kim Jae-young are set to star in the upcoming Genie TV original drama 'IIll-fated Love,' premiering on the 22nd. The series follows a top lawyer's quest to prove the innocence of their favorite idol, who has been accused of murder, navigating the fine line between fan devotion and suspicion.

Korean netizens found Soo-young's candid and humorous approach to building rapport with staff amusing. Comments like 'Sooyoung seems like she has a great personality,' 'The tip she learned from seniors to get close to staff is hilarious,' and 'Looking forward to IIll-fated Love!' flooded online communities.
