The Ethics Committee of the Korea Entertainment Management Association (KEMA) has released an official statement addressing the recent controversies surrounding comedian Park Na-rae.

The committee stated on the 17th that the alleged '갑질' (abuse of power) and 'Jusa Imo' (illegal injection) incidents involving Park Na-rae are considered "serious acts that disrupt the healthy customs and order of the popular culture and arts industry and hinder its development." The association expressed deep concern and regret over the chaos and significant repercussions these issues have caused within the entertainment industry.

Regarding suspicions of unregistered operation as a cultural and artistic planning business and failure to enroll managers in four major insurances, the KEMA urged "a thorough investigation and punishment by investigative authorities." They also called on Park Na-rae's side to "actively cooperate with a formal clarification and investigation."

Concerning allegations of abuse of power, including forcing managers into personal errands, verbal abuse, and physical assault, the committee emphasized that "Park Na-rae must provide a clear explanation of the facts and issue a formal apology." They warned, "If these acts are proven true, the association will take all possible strong measures."

The statement also highlighted suspicions of illegal medical procedures, non-payment of expenses, and embezzlement of company funds to former boyfriends. The committee regards the alleged unpaid wages, which could constitute extortion, as a very serious matter. They stated, "We will investigate the facts in line with wage disputes and take appropriate strong measures." They further urged "a thorough investigation by relevant investigative authorities" for the embezzlement allegations, stating, "If proven true, this is clearly embezzlement of public funds for private use."

Earlier, on the 3rd, two former managers filed a lawsuit against Park Na-rae, citing workplace bullying, aggravated assault, proxy prescriptions, and non-payment of expenses. Park Na-rae has countersued for blackmail. On the 16th, Park Na-rae released a statement, but maintained her stance to resolve the matter legally without directly addressing the allegations.

Korean netizens are reacting with calls for a thorough investigation and clear explanations, with comments like 'The KEMA's stance is out, hoping the truth comes out legally,' 'Park Na-rae needs to explain properly,' and 'The truth will be revealed, let's wait and see.'
