
The Cross Vocalist Lee Si-ha Elected as 25th President of KOMCA
Lee Si-ha, the vocalist of the rock band The Cross, has been elected as the 25th president of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
During an extraordinary general meeting held on the 16th at the COEX Magok Convention Center, Lee Si-ha secured a significant victory, receiving 472 out of 781 valid votes.
As a singer-songwriter renowned for hits like 'Don’t Cry' and 'For You,' Lee Si-ha boasts extensive experience in the music industry, coupled with a deep understanding of distribution structures and music business practices.
He has also served as an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Distribution and Logistics Management at Sejong University, nurturing future talent. His tenure as a board member in the 24th executive committee of KOMCA further honed his practical understanding of the association's operations and copyright systems.
"I will establish an association that prioritizes its members and earns trust by ensuring transparency throughout its operations," Lee Si-ha declared. His key initiatives include enhancing transparency, building a member-centric operational structure, increasing copyright royalties, and preparing for the AI era. He plans to finalize and implement these strategies following his inauguration in February.
