Song Kang Drops $6.7 Million on Seoul Forest Penthouse

Actor Song Kang has entered the luxury real estate market, purchasing a lavish apartment in Seongsu-dong for a staggering 6.7 billion KRW (approximately $6.7 million USD).

According to real estate sources on October 17th, the 'Sweet Home' star acquired a 227㎡ unit at the prestigious 'Seoul Forest Hillstate' in late June. He officially completed the ownership registration last month.

Records indicate a maximum loan of approximately 4.2 billion KRW (around $4.2 million USD), covering about 60% of the property's value. Notably, Song Kang reportedly signed the contract on the very day new government regulations on mortgage loans in the Seoul metropolitan area took effect, allowing him to circumvent the new 600 million KRW lending limit.

'Seoul Forest Hillstate' is renowned as one of Seongsu-dong's premier residential complexes, attracting a host of celebrities including actors Namkoong Min, Lee Sang-yoon, Eric, Yook Sung-jae, and former baseball player Park Chan-ho.

Song Kang recently completed his mandatory military service in October, having been discharged as a Sergeant.
