&TEAM Dominates Oricon Year-End Charts, Proves Global Stature
The group &TEAM has solidified its rising global presence by landing all of its releases this year within the top 10 of major categories on Japan's Oricon Year-End Charts.
According to the 'Oricon Annual Ranking 2025' announced by Oricon on December 17th (ranking period: December 23, 2024 - December 15, 2025), &TEAM's first Korean mini-album, 'Back to Life,' secured the 6th position in the 'Album Ranking' category. Furthermore, their third single, 'Go in Blind,' ranked 9th in the 'Single Ranking' category.
'&TEAM's Korean mini-album 'Back to Life' is an album that encapsulates the strengthened bond and growth of the nine members over the three years since their debut in 2022. It has been critically acclaimed for incorporating the team's identity of 'Werewolf DNA' and HYBE's 'Global DNA,' along with a spirit of challenge and an expanded musical spectrum across its six tracks.
The third single, 'Go in Blind,' depicts the members' bold journey as they cross boundaries and head towards the world. It delivered a powerful energy, showcasing &TEAM's determination to overcome adversities head-on to prove their unassailable domain, garnering immense popularity not only in Japan but also in Korea.
&TEAM demonstrated a steep growth curve through successful activities in Korea, the heartland of K-pop, during October and November. 'Back to Life' sold over 1.22 million copies in its first week alone (October 28 - November 3), marking the highest sales for a Korean album released in October (Hanteo Chart). This achievement makes &TEAM the first Japanese artist to consecutively surpass one million sales, following their previous work 'Go in Blind,' thereby setting a milestone of becoming a 'million-seller' in both Korea and Japan.
Moreover, &TEAM has made an impact on the US Billboard charts. 'Back to Life' ranked high on key sub-charts, including 5th on 'World Albums,' 12th on 'Top Current Album Sales,' and 13th on 'Top Album Sales' as of the November 29th chart date. Leveraging this popularity, &TEAM also claimed the number 1 spot on the Billboard 'Emerging Artists' chart.
Looking ahead, &TEAM is set to brilliantly conclude 2025 with performances at major domestic and international year-end music programs and festivals, including SBS's '2025 Gayo Daejeon with Bithumb,' KBS2's 'Music Bank Global Festival in Japan,' TBS's 'The 67th Shining! Japan Record Awards,' and NHK's 'Kohaku Uta Gassen.'
Fans are enthusiastically celebrating &TEAM's achievements. Comments praise the members' hard work, such as "As expected from our &TEAM! It’s so proud that they’ve set such amazing records in Japan!" Others express anticipation for future activities, saying, "We’re even more excited about this group’s future! We’ll be watching the year-end stages live!"
