MONSTA X's Jooheon Gears Up for Solo Comeback in January 2026

MONSTA X member Jooheon is set to release his new solo album in early January 2026, marking his return to the solo scene after approximately two years and eight months. His agency, Starship Entertainment, announced on the 17th, "Jooheon, currently on MONSTA X's Jingle Ball tour in the U.S., is in the final stages of preparation for a comeback in early January next year." They added, "We are pouring our hearts into showcasing Jooheon's diverse charms, so please look forward to it."

This upcoming release follows his first mini-album 'LIGHTS', which was released in May 2023. With his previous work, praised for being entirely self-composed and establishing 'Jooheon' as a genre in itself, fans anticipate he will demonstrate an expanded musical spectrum and the seasoned artistry of a decade-long career.

Since his debut, Jooheon has been instrumental in shaping MONSTA X's unique sound as the main rapper, producer, and songwriter. He is celebrated as an all-around artist for his powerful rap, impressive vocal skills, and his talent in songwriting, composing, and arranging, earning him widespread recognition from domestic and international listeners.

Even before his official solo debut, Jooheon showcased his global presence through mixtapes. His 2018 release 'DWTD (Do What They Do)' charted on iTunes and the Billboard World Albums chart, followed by 'PSYCHE' in 2020, which ranked second on iTunes Top K-Pop Album charts and Worldwide Album charts in 30 countries, solidifying his potential as a solo artist.

Meanwhile, MONSTA X recently won two awards at the '10th Asia Artist Awards 2025' and is currently participating in the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour across major U.S. cities. Following the tour's conclusion in Miami on the 20th, the group is scheduled to hold their new world tour 'THE X : NEXUS' at Seoul's KSPO DOME from January 30th to February 1st, 2026.
