Key, a member of the K-pop group SHINee, has issued a statement addressing rumors of a close relationship with the individual known as 'Injection Aunt' and allegations of receiving unauthorized medical procedures.

His agency, SM Entertainment, released an official statement on the 17th, explaining, "Key first met Ms. Lee (the 'Injection Aunt') as a doctor after visiting a clinic in Gangnam-gu based on a friend's recommendation."

The agency further stated, "Key continued to receive treatment at the clinic and, when unable to visit recently, received care at his home on a few occasions. At the time, he believed Ms. Lee was a licensed doctor and did not consider receiving treatment at home to be problematic, as she made no mention otherwise."

SM Entertainment also revealed, "Key is currently very confused upon first learning that Ms. Lee is not a doctor due to the recent controversy surrounding her medical license, and he deeply regrets his lack of awareness."

Consequently, Key has decided to withdraw from his currently scheduled activities and programs he is appearing in, recognizing the gravity of the situation.

Previously, TV personality Park Na-rae faced allegations of receiving illegal medical procedures from an individual identified as 'A,' who allegedly lacked a formal medical license in South Korea. The controversy intensified when evidence of 'A' and Key's long-standing acquaintance surfaced.

Netizens are expressing mixed reactions, with comments like, "Did Key really not know?", "It feels unsettling despite the explanation," and "Hope he returns to activities soon."
