Actress Jo Yeo-jeong Drops $4 Million Cash on Luxury Hannam-dong Penthouse
Actress Jo Yeo-jeong has drawn significant attention by purchasing a luxurious penthouse in Hannam-dong, Seoul, for approximately 4 billion KRW, reportedly paid for entirely in cash.
According to court registry documents obtained on December 17th, Jo Yeo-jeong signed a contract for a penthouse unit at 'Brighton Hannam' in March 2022. She completed the final payment and registered the ownership transfer at the end of November this year. The absence of any mortgage suggests the purchase was made with her own funds.
The current market price for similar units is around 4 billion KRW. 'Brighton Hannam' is a complex featuring 142 units, including officetels and residential apartments, spread across 16 floors. The building, completed in October last year, has seen many celebrities, such as SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan, Kwanghee, Yoo Ho-jeong, and Kim Na-young, either purchase or reside in its units.
Jo Yeo-jeong has been active this year, appearing in films 'Zombie Daughter' and 'Killer Report.' She is also set to star in the upcoming Disney+ original series 'Made in Korea,' premiering on December 24th. Further projects include the Netflix film 'Possible Love' and the movie 'Revenant Hunter.'
Netizens reacted enthusiastically to the news of Jo Yeo-jeong's all-cash purchase, commenting, 'Wow, Jo Yeo-jeong! True powerhouse,' 'Her financial power is incredible,' and 'Looking forward to her upcoming projects too.' Many are sending her support for her successful career.
