The Korea Entertainment Management Association (KEMA) has officially stepped in regarding the recent controversies surrounding broadcaster Park Na-rae, demanding a thorough investigation and appropriate punishment.

In a statement released on the 17th, KEMA declared its firm stance on the issues brought to light by the Park Na-rae situation, stating it has caused significant disruption and concern within the entertainment industry.

KEMA specifically addressed allegations of operating an unregistered cultural arts planning business and failing to enroll managers in social insurance. The association urged investigative authorities to conduct a comprehensive inquiry and impose just penalties. They also strongly called for Park Na-rae's side to provide a clear explanation and actively cooperate with the investigation.

Regarding reports of alleged abuse of power ('gap-jil') towards former managers, KEMA stated that if the reports are true, Park Na-rae requires a clear explanation and a formal apology. They pointed out that forcing managers to perform tasks unrelated to their work is a deeply rooted bad practice in the industry that must be eradicated.

Furthermore, KEMA touched upon controversies such as the 'injection aunt' incident, alleged non-payment of expenses, and claims of company funds being paid to a former boyfriend. The association emphasized the heightened responsibility entertainers hold as public figures. They added that continuing entertainment activities without sufficient explanation and responsible self-reflection following social controversies should be refrained from.

Netizens expressed a range of opinions, including 'If the Park Na-rae controversy is true, it's truly disappointing,' 'Looking at the association's statement, the issue seems serious. Waiting for the thorough investigation results,' and 'She's not that young anymore, I hope she shows responsible behavior.'
