Actress Kim Da-mi shared an intriguing behind-the-scenes story about how she was cast in the film 'The Witch' during her rookie days, captivating viewers.

On the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 17th, Kim Da-mi appeared and shared candid anecdotes.

Kim Da-mi, who majored in acting, revealed that she had never auditioned until her senior year of university. She explained the reason, stating, "I felt I wasn't ready to audition."

The first opportunity she seized when she felt confident was for the movie 'The Witch', which boasted a staggering 1500:1 competition ratio. Recalling the moment, Kim Da-mi said, "It was my first time taking on a major role as the protagonist. I felt I didn't have much to offer, so my mindset was just to prepare thoroughly for the acting itself."

There was a tense moment on set. Due to a scene where the character participates in a singing competition, director Park Hoon-jung asked about Kim Da-mi's singing and dancing skills. She honestly replied, "I can't do it."

However, she added, "But if you give me the chance, I will try my best." She was subsequently contacted with an offer for the role, a surprising turn of events.
