‘Reply 1988’s ‘Jin-ju’ Kim Seol Reveals Growth Spurt and Genius Traits on ‘You Quiz on the Block’

Actress Kim Seol, who won hearts as the adorable mascot ‘Jin-ju’ in the drama ‘Reply 1988’ (Eungpal), has revealed her remarkably grown-up appearance and surprising genius abilities.

Appearing on the tvN entertainment program 'You Quiz on the Block' on the 17th, Kim Seol, who was just 4 years old during the drama’s run, is now a middle schooler.

Ten years have passed, and Kim Seol is now in her second year of middle school. It was revealed that she and her older brother are both gifted, having completed programs at an advanced learning center.

Currently serving as class president and participating in the band club at school, Kim Seol showcased her versatile talents. She stated, “If I don’t take the lead, I can’t feel satisfied,” revealing her assertive personality.

Most notably, Kim Seol’s study methods attracted attention. Apart from her hobby of playing the Haegeum, she reportedly does not receive any private tutoring. Kim Seol explained her self-established study routine: “Usually, after eating, I go to a study cafe around 4-5 PM and study until 11 PM if it’s late, but mostly until 8 PM.”

She also shared her unique study secrets. Kim Seol said, “My friends usually only highlight important sentences, but I underline so much that the book becomes black and unreadable. When I do that, my hands automatically follow, and I read the sentences much more meticulously,” explaining her unique ‘perfectionist’ study method.
